Cake Batter Milkshakes

I’m making milkshakes tonight.

I have an overwhelming desire to reference the lack of boys in my yard right now, but I think that milkshake joke (and song reference) has been overdone.

Besides, I can’t enjoy a milkshake without thinking about my dad. And he certainly wouldn’t want to know about any boys in my yard.

My dad has taught me a lot of lessons in life:

how to be hardworking,
how to fix a malfunctioning toilet,
how to be 100% dedicated to your family,
how to be sarcastic,
how to drive a car,
and (most importantly)

how to enjoy a milkshake.

Most days, I listen to my dad when it comes to being hardworking and dedicated, when it comes to being a good driver, etc. etc. etc.

All days, I listen to my dad when it comes to enjoying a good milkshake.

Dad knows best. Right?

Cake Batter Milkshake
Adapted From: A Beautiful Mess
Yields: 1-2 milkshakes

1/3C cake mix of choice (I used yellow)
1C vanilla ice cream
3/4-1C milk
Whipped cream, sprinkles (optional)

Throw everything in a blender. Blend. Top with whipped cream and sprinkles if you are feeling a little fancy.
Share some with your dad. Preferably, give him the one without sprinkles. He isn’t much for sprinkles and whipped cream frou-frou.
