Tofu Nuggets

Who doesn’t love a nugget? C’mon…
Lets pretend that I meant for these nuggets to be a bit well-done (possibly mildly burnt). I’ve been well-trained in the art of scraping black/burnt-ness off food, a talent that has proven priceless time and time again. Thanks Mom!

Tofu Nuggets
Adapted from:
Printable Recipe 

1 16oz block of tofu, drained and pressed
1/4C dairy-free milk (i.e. soy)
2T prepared mustard (dijon or whatever you prefer)
1/2tsp garlic powder
1/2tsp onion powder
1tsp dried parsley
1/4tsp pepper (alternatively use cayenne pepper for a little heat)
1/4tsp salt
3/4C regular bread crumbs

In a small bowl, combine soy milk and mustard. In a different bowl, combine garlic powder, onion powder, parsley, pepper, salt, and bread crumbs. Slice tofu into 1/4inch thick slices. Then cut slices in half to form small rectangles. Dip rectangles into mustard mixture and then dredge them in bread crumb mixture. Place onto baking sheet. Broil tofu nuggets for 4 minutes per side. Alternatively, bake at 375 for 20-25 minutes. Serve with ketchup, dressing, BBQ or honey-mustard sauce for dipping!
