Out-Of-This-World Chocolate PB Ice Cream

Any peanut butter & chocolate fans out there? Me too. Any ice cream fans out there? Me too. This recipe was seriously so good. We recently bought an ice cream maker and this (so far) is our favorite recipe. Admittedly, I ate a lot of this deliciously rich ice cream base before I froze it. Try this recipe as soon as possible. Trust me, you won’t regret it.

Chocolate Peanut Butter Ice Cream

2.5C Whole Milk
1C sugar
1/3C cocoa powder
pinch of salt
1/2C heavy cream
3/4C semi-sweet chocolate chips
3T corn starch
1/2C peanut butter

In a medium sauce pan, heat 2C whole milk, sugar, salt, and cocoa powder over medium heat until steaming. Don’t boil. In a small bowl, combine corn starch and additional 1/2C whole milk. Stir until there are no lumps. Add to steaming milk mixture. Heat until mixture thickens to pudding consistency. Set aside to cool. In a small microwave bowl, heat heavy cream and chocolate chips, stirring frequently. Once chocolate chips have melted, stir chocolate-cream mixture into the steamed-milk-chocolate pudding-like mixture. Place in fridge and let cool. Once cool, freeze it in your ice cream maker for about 20-25minutes. Once ice cream is almost done with the initial churning freeze, add in 1/2C peanut butter. Allow this to mix in. Freeze ice cream.
