Pasta Salad

Not sure if I should bother to post this — its a generic pasta salad recipe. That being said, it has been a family staple for my entire life and is frequently requested in our house. It’s pretty unhealthy, but I have occasionally tried to increase its vegetable content and decrease cheese/meat/pasta part.
Pasta Salad 

1 bag/box tri-color rotini
1/4 – 1/2lb salami, cut into small cubes
1/2-1C cheese, cubed (we like sharp cheddar, mozzarella, colby, farmer… basically anything)
1 small head broccoli, chopped, blanched and allowed to cool
Other possible additives we’ve tried over the years: olives, red/green pepper, tomatoes, onion
1 bottle Italian dressing

Basically, cook the pasta just to al dente. Allow to cool. Throw broccoli in boiling pasta water for about 3 minutes. Strain broccoli and place in bowl with ice to cool it quickly. In other bowl, add salami, cheese, cooled pasta, whatever else you have in the house, and cooled/dried broccoli. Add as much Italian dressing as you like. Toss and serve! Tastes even better after hanging out in the fridge for a few hours.

If you live in our house — one person will choose to eat mostly cheese, one person the cheese, one person the pasta… and some poor fellow will get stuck with the broccoli. At least it’s covered in dressing?
